Although the model presented in this module, the Systematic
Design of Modular Instruction, is geared specifically
toward modular design, it could be used for other teaching
and learning situations. As the title of this design
model suggests, this model takes a systematic approach
to designing a module making it much easier and much
more efficient for you.
The sequencing techniques presented here could also
simplify this step of the design process. The structure
presented here for the module has been tested and proven
to be effective which could also simplify the design
process even further.
The media preference hierarchy, together with the suggestions
for adapting traditional media for the Web, again provide
a systematic approach for selecting the media that will
support the various instructional activities.
