General Objective
The overall goal of this module is to identify certain
elements of an objective so that you can analyze existing
objectives or create new ones and evaluate whether or
not they will be effective based on the criteria presented
here in this module.
Specific Objectives
Given a particular learning objective or by writing
one of your own, you will be able to identify three
useful characteristics of an instructional objective:
- performance,
- conditions, and
- criterion.
The objective must contain a performance. While explicitly
stated conditions and criterion of performance are optional,
it is preferable to include them since they will clarify
what is expected from the learner and reduce the possibility
of misinterpretation of the intended meaning.
